POST 8: AN ARTIST YOU LOVE.

Talking about art is our country is complicated. Many times we have asked ourselves: What is art? and for sure it is difficult to have an immediate answer to explain this concept.

I have always been a lover of photography, which is why I would like to talk about a sports photographer who was recognized all over the world: Charles Colton.

I remember that I met him investigating the origin of this type of art, since I was initiated into photography in football and I needed to have a reference to know what to look for when taking a good snapshot.

The first image that is remembered of a sports photograph was made in 1909 by Charles, who was an amateur English photographer and who soon began to generate noise in this area.

It was a baseball game of the time, in black and white and where the dust of the land was mixed with the mud of the competition. Details that are very difficult to grasp if one considers the technology that Charles Colton had at his disposal.

What I like most about this character was the simplicity of his stories. These days many - I include myself - we believe photographers and we have never set out to study this discipline, so the merit of Charles Colton is huge and surely has left an important legacy for all those who want to dedicate themselves to sports photography forever.
