POST 10: ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

Hello everyone! This is my last publication of the year, for my luck the English course is finished and I think I learned a lot. Actually I don't consider myself good for languages, I'm ashamed to speak, I think I don't do it well and I'm afraid they will make fun of me. However, I think I've come a long way in that. I liked the English 4 course because I met very funny people and that made the classes less terrible for me.  The activities that the professor did were entertaining: The blog helped us to practice writing  and the tasks helped a lot in several aspects; especially to lose the shame and speak better. The videos surprised me, I really thought they would be difficult to do, but it was not like that and that calms me a lot. The support to learn English is based and in that sense the teacher always showed willingness to help and was always very understanding of the difficulties I had when speaking. I liked a lot. I hope that what I learned in th...

POST 9: CHANGING THE STUDY PROGRAMME

Imagen
Hi everyone! Today I will tell you about the changes to my study programme, the journalism programme. I really like the career, however, there are things that I would change, for example, the teaching methods and the infraestructure of ICEI (classrooms). One teaching methods that I don't like are the evaluations because they are like in the high school, the test are with alternatives, completion, paired terms and other things that are only memory tests. I don't like to memorize the contents because I  prefer  to understand and develop the contents. In relation to the infraestructure of ICEI, I don't like the size of the classrooms because are very small and we are too many students. The hot days (like today) are unbearable. The air conditioning never works and that is terrible! And  I not only would change this , I also feel that there are preferences for some teachers and that lowers the quality of education. In ICEI they let go many good...

POST 8: AN ARTIST YOU LOVE.

Talking about art is our country is complicated. Many times we have asked ourselves: What is art? and for sure it is difficult to have an immediate answer to explain this concept. I have always been a lover of photography, which is why I would like to talk about a sports photographer who was recognized all over the world: Charles Colton. I remember that I met him investigating the origin of this type of art, since I was initiated into photography in football and I needed to have a reference to know what to look for when taking a good snapshot. The first image that is remembered of a sports photograph was made in 1909 by Charles, who was an amateur English photographer and who soon began to generate noise in this area. It was a baseball game of the time, in black and white and where the dust of the land was mixed with the mud of the competition. Details that are very difficult to grasp if one considers the technology that Charles Colton had at his disposal. What I li...
